Ryan Sowards played professional baseball, coached overseas, and has trained kids for three decades.
He was drafted as a shortstop by the Dodgers. In his three years of professional baseball, he played every position, from pitcher to catcher. He worked on pitching with Coach Charlie Hough in the California State League. He’s had the pleasure of working with some of the best in baseball, from Tommy Lasorda, Mike Scioscia (Angels’ manager), and Ron Roenicke (former Brewers’ manager).
Ryan later coached professional baseball in Cologne, Germany. Over the years, he has also worked with kids of all ages on batting, fielding, vision training, and athletic conditioning.
Raised in Washington, Ryan played basketball and baseball in high school. He was first team All-State and Honorable Mention All-American in basketball. Ryan attended Seattle Pacific University on a full-ride basketball scholarship. He later transferred schools to focus on baseball before being drafted.
